About Noelle McEachran

Noelle McEachran got married, had children, and then read Jane Austen. That's pretty much all you need to know.

But for those who want the longer version: Noelle has spent the last couple of decades studying the architecture of stories. With a master's degree in creative writing from a classical Christian school, she has been particularly interested in looking beyond quick, easy plot structures and digging into the older, deeper patterns of storytelling — the kind that started with a dragon in a garden a long time ago.

Because the world is a fairy tale—and that actually matters when you're brushing your teeth.

Noelle writes fiction that draws on the patterns of classic stories, the wit and social observation of Jane Austen, and the strange, beautiful logic of fairy tales. Her stories tend to include romance, humor, fantasy, foolish people making questionable decisions, and the possibility that things might turn out better than they deserve to.

Alongside her fiction, Noelle has also worked for a number of years as a professional copywriter in digital marketing, as well as a freelance writer.

Noelle lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband and their children, in a family that runs on chocolate and stories.
